From the beginning, also the making of the reservation, everything was perfect. The tour amazing, the food wonderful and the guide very sympathetic and knew the answer to all our questions.
Katrina showed us the wonderful locations of local beers, off the routine touristy stops with history of beer, Munich, food and Michael Jackson! Having the food-FRESH pretzels and obazda/onions was perfect with beer at G.Schneider & Son!! A flight of beers! Not just a beer. Then onto Glühwine at Hillegeist. Brought to us outside and lit for us to watch(sugar cubes soaked in Austrian rum). The perfect addition on a cold night! Then onto a Turkish restaurant for a donner sandwich and tegernseer hell beer. Last stop, preceeded by tour to a Michael Jackson memorial-yes that’s right, was a restaurant serving Kloster Andechs beer-produced by a monastery outside of Munich with minimal distribution-lucky us!! And honey schnapps also crafted by the monks. So much food so much to drink. Previous review mentioned disappointment. Not sure how?!?! Roll me home to bed! Great tour. Food was fun the markets are great. The coolest thing was the mulled wine with the flaming cognac. Katrina our guide is great. She has tons of stories. If you are up to it try the curry sausage with the Santa sauce. ( really hot…) we were not brave enough. They know how to have fun at the markets in munich. Great food and drinks.
Highly recommend this tour for those of you more interested in food, with the added benefits of fantastic local beer, wine and history. I recommend skipping breakfast as there is a lot to eat on this tour, & you may want a nap afterwards 😉. Katrina was a fantastic, knowledgeable tour guide and the experience was well worth it. Prost!!
It was an extraordinary and wonderful experience, we learned so much about munich and the gastroculture (and I have to mention that I am actually from munich! So much new flavors and locations even for me :)) The food, the beer and places were just AMAZING and our guide was the sweetest and funniest, we had a great time, thank you so much.
This was a fantastic tour around downtown Munich, with plenty of historical facts thrown into beer trivia, lots of food, and very tasty beer. Our guide, Mark, was amazing–so amazing that our group ended up grabbing another beer with him after the end of the tour just for the chance to talk with him some more! I highly recommend this tour if you want some good food, great beer, and awesome company.
