Our guide Daniel was excellent! We had such a great time on the tour. The food and drink were so good and we got to try heaps of things that we wouldn’t ordinarily have tried. Our best tip is to go on the tour hungry, we should’ve skipped breakfast that day! There is so much food and it is all so good! Our Christmas Market food tour with Daniel was amazing yesterday! We got to try three different mulled wines, candied nuts, ox sausage, noodles with sauerkraut, scrambled pancakes and more! Munich at Christmas
The tour with Patrick was a perfect introduction to the Christmas markets in Munich. The food options were delicious and plentiful. He was very knowledgeable about local history, particularly of the architecture. He was good with my children, even getting the one in a bad mood to come out of his shell. What a fun evening with tour guide Kevin who took us on a sightseeing walking tour by historical sights, and to 4 different Christmas markets. We sampled whole servings of several drinks, meats, pizza, and cookies!  Did this on our first day in Munich and Kevin took extra time to answer all of our tourist questions, and even made a point to take me into subway to show me location of an ATM and how to read train map. We had a great, private Christmas Markets Food Tour with Iain!  He was superb.  There was perfect rhythm to this tour.  There was incredible history.  Iain took us to awesome food spots too! The taste of the Christmas market tour was a lot of fun. Liam was excellent. I’m glad it was a small friendly group. He was good about stopping and waiting for us to catch up. Especially me with a really bad knee. The food was awesome and the drink good as well. We had a history lesson along the way as well. It was a great overview of the Christmas markets. Munich Christmas Food Tour
Had a tour with Liam yesterday. Super fun time, and he kept everyone engaged. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I felt like it was the perfect combination of tastings, drinks and information. Patrick was an awesome tour guide and very friendly and knowledgeable!! We ate well and our group got along very well. I cannot speak highly enough of the Munich Christmas Market Food Tour and our amazing Guide Daniel. I have been on many food tours and this is by far the best one I've been on. Our guide Daniel was the absolute best, giving us so much information on Christmas markets in Germany as well as historical fun facts about Munich as we walked between markets. We also enjoyed meeting other English speaking people from around the world – which is always fun in a city where you don’t speak the language.

THE BEST TOUR OPTION!
Oh my word - Kevin was one of the best guides I have ever had on my travels and as an agency owner in the US I have had a lot of guides over the years. He stayed with us about an hour longer than scheduled and we loved every minute of getting to know him and Munich and also learn a bit about Ireland. We came home with some gems of insight. Great intro to Christmas markets in Munich!
A little background - I am truly terrible at writing reviews. I never do it. But after two great tours with Fork and Walk tours, I feel compelled to share my experience. So although this is about the Christmas Market food tour, I need to give a shout out to tour guide Kevin who led us on the Viktualienmarkt tour in May 2023. I really recommend doing one of the tours the first day you are in Munich because not only do you get acclimated to the food scene, it also serves as a really excellent orientation to the city. Kevin gave us recommendations for other places to go in Munich which was so helpful! It was a great start to our trip last year and was one of the highlights of the whole trip. Fast forward to December 2024, which was a somewhat hastily thrown together trip to Munich that we basically did not plan at all until the last minute. When I saw there was a Christmas market food tour, I was super excited… but then saw it looked like there was no availability for the only days we would be in town. Noooo! But the website said to call, so I emailed and asked if it was a possibility. The F&W team was very responsive and was able to fit us in for a 3 pm tour the day we got into town. Yay! That day, our flight was supposed to land at 7:30 am and it was in fact delayed by about 6 hours - so we were rushing to get into town, drop our bags at the hotel, and make it to the tour. We were not going to be able to make it by 3 pm, so I messaged our guide for this tour, Patrick, and let him know the situation. Patrick was great - he shared his location and his clothing while we were close so we could easily join up with the group. We were about 30 minutes late but we were just in time for gluhwein! Patrick also made sure to grab us some food since we missed the first food stop. This tour was a great introduction to multiple Christmas markets, and we were once again very glad we did it on our first day in town as it made us more confident getting around town and enjoying the markets. We had plenty of tasty treats and gluhwein, and it was not an issue with me being vegetarian. We found Christmas!
My friend and I decided to visit Munich this winter to see the Christmas markets and this tour was a great introduction to what the markets offered. Our tour guide, Daniel, was a Munich local and offered up lots of interesting cultural and historical tidbits as he led us around the city center to a few different Christmas markets. Went on Fork and Walk Munich’s Original Christmas Market Food Tour. Kevin was our guide for the evening. We went to many different markets throughout the city starting with Marienplatz. A great way to see the Christmas Markets in Munich
We took the private Christmas market tour as we were not able to take the group tour because of travel arrangements. Kevin was our guide and is delightful. He shared a lot about the history of the area and the Christmas Markets. We had delicious food and drinks. We went to several markets in the city center. We also got a chance to see Krampus. Amazing tour with a great tour guide, Daniel!. He introduced us to German and Munich history, as well as giving detailed descriptions of each of the markets we visited. He made sure to include a different variety of foods and drinks that each is known for as well as their specific themes. All of this done during a major snowstorm!!!
